Thirty homes were completed in the Summer and Fall of 2006. To complete the pre-Katrina vision of building 40 homes, ten more homes will be built in the spring of 2007.

Our approach in improving 300 units per year will be divided into two groups – secure funding and coordinate the volunteer workforce for the construction of sixty (60) Habitat for Humanity units (20%) and offer technical support (through assistance in permitting, contracting, etc.) for two hundred forty (240) units (80%) per year.  We are in the process of securing funding for the three-hundred units we plan to construct and are in the process of coordinating the teams of construction volunteers.
